I was informed by a reputable source that this was the very best Chihuahua style Mexican food in Tucson. I can't really speak to the veracity of that statement since it is the only restaurant of it's kind that I've ever eaten at... but I will say that it was very good. I went in aware of the fact that this would not be Sonoran style Mexican and that means no heaping piles of cheese on everything. What they do serve is well marinated and very tender meats. I had the corn tortillas and if it hasn't tasted like corn I would have sworn it was flour. Spicy at the salsa bar means very spicy. Like you will still have the heat in your belly 15 minutes later if you polish off one of their tiny cups of salsa with a boat full of the complimentary chips. You should try this place, just remember that it isn't Taco Bell and it isn't Guadalajara grill. It is quality stick to your ribs, working class truly Mexican food like no other in Tucson.

The staff was very friendly. The place was clean and the food was delicious. The only thing i wasnt too happy about was the corn tortillas. They should have been the street taco ones small and thin. That's the only thing i didn't like. Other than that food was delicious💗

Awesome spot! First time trying it out and the food was amazing. The salsa bar was clean and well stocked when I was there, which was near closing time. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

The best fish, and chicken enchiladas! A great salsa bar. Good quality. Best prices. Spacious seating. Happy hour for beer! Plus a fresh salsa bar with lots of choices!

Closest thing to a South side taqueria you're gonna get on the east side of town. Names translates to the big taco. And that is no joke. Nice chunky amount of meat on everything. Salsa bar and fresh selves serve chips in a very modern Mexican style atmosphere. Bright colors, booth and table seating, nice big booths in the back with loads of natural light.
